Pete Williams, Ph.D., was born in Kent, Ohio. He graduated with a B.A in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1978. He then began a 25 year career as a business executive in the food manufacturing industry. He returned to school in 1996 obtaining a Masters degree in Psychology from Kent State University followed by a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2004. In 2011, he obtained his diploma as Jungian Analyst from the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. He has been in private practice in Atlanta since 2001.
In his business career, he served on the Board of Directors of Huntington National Bank, the Kent-Ravenna Realty Company, Family Community Services of Portage County and was a founding director of the Portage County Children Advocacy Center. He was president of the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Kent Redevelopment Corporation and the Kent Jaycees.
In his career as a psychotherapist and Jungian Analyst, he has served on the Board of Directors of Journey Into Wholeness. He has been president of the Atlanta Psychotherapy Guild and The C. G. Jung Society of Atlanta. He guest lectures in the graduate psychology programs at Georgia State University and Mercer College, and offers lectures and workshops on various Jungian topics throughout the southeast.
